Be sure to transfer your NUC into a 8 or 10-frame box when you get home since the NUCs are built to be robust and ready for a 10-frame box. Delays in transfer may cause the bees to swarm.
PreOrders must be placed no later than 7 days prior to pickup weekend.
No rescheduling beyond the pickup weekend.
Colonies are built strong for a 10-frame hive. Waiting longer can trigger swarming.
Transfer EZ-NUC colonies to an 8- or 10-frame hive immediately after arriving home, if not being transferred into your box at the farm.
All equipment must be assembled and painted before pickup. Be sure to allow time for paint to fully cure.
Responsibility transfers to the buyer once bees leave the property.
Bee pick up days are the last weekend of each month from APRIL through SEPTEMBER (sometimes OCTOBER)

Thinking about getting bees? Don’t rush it. Set yourself up to succeed.
Beekeeping is rewarding — but it is not passive. Colonies require regular management to stay healthy in the Gulf Coast climate.
Start with the right foundation.
Take a beginner beekeeping workshop
Learn how a hive works before you own one.
Get guidance from experienced beekeepers by joining a local bee club
Avoid common beginner mistakes.
Then bring home your bees
Strong colonies cost money and time.
Education protects that investment and helps your bees thrive from day one.
New beekeepers often lose their first hive because they start without preparation.
Healthy colonies require management to:
• Prevent swarming
• Monitor pests and disease
• Maintain space in the hive
• Keep bees productive
Learning first saves:
• Lost colonies
• Frustration
• Unnecessary expense
Learn. Prepare. Then start your apiary. 🐝
Honey bee queens and NUC colonies are seasonal, because queen mating requires warm weather, abundant drones, and nectar flow conditions that only occur during certain months.
Even though our bees fly all year here in Southwest Florida, Queens and NUCs can only be produced part of the year, which is why there are NO Queens nor NUCs available for sale from JANUARY-MARCH and after OCTOBER-DECEMBER
Some years we can start producing them earlier than others, some years we have to end earlier than others (due to weather - hurricanes or temperatures below 60F).
